magazines, for example; Glamour, Vogue, Easy living, Tatler, House & Garden,
Brides, Bon Appétit, GQ, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, GQStyle, Love, Wired, Cond
Nast Johanses, Conde Nast college of fashion& design and
Conde nast contact publishing. The company headquartered in New York City
and was founded in 1909 by Conde Montrose Nast. Condé Nast International Ltd.,
publishes international editions of the U.S. titles, which was incorporated in
2005. Operating as a subsidiary of Advance Publications, this division publishes
more than 126 magazines and 104 websites, representing 24 markets around the
globe.
The target audience is mainly women as Conde Nast is largely consider to be the originator of “lifestyle magazine”
which is mainly aimed at women because it’s a type of magazine that’s focused on
a wide age of subjects for example food,home,culture,travel
and a huge portion of fashion.
Recently Condé Nast has expanded as they are now offering to include marketing services and consumer-focused products for example licensed merchandise and apps. In 2010, GQ became the first Condé Nast title available on an ipad.
The reason it targets different audiences based on each magazine designer is because it has different genres for example fashion, home or travel. As this give different type of people a wide variety to choose from. Condé Nast will not be a good publishing
house for my magazine to be published by as my magazine is mainly aimed at the younger generation for example teenagers. It’s also aimed at both sexes and but mainly females. The average cost for a Condé Nast magazine in pounds is £2.50.The first magazine to get published by Condé Nast Gourmet magazine which bwas a monthly publication of Condé Nast and the first U.S magazine devoted to foodand wine.
